- Well the new year has arrived. The 69 dart was sold gonna miss that car :-( Holidays were great. the family is great! the 55 is going back in the body shop so hopefully that will soon be great as well!
- 8/25/2009 Dart is Running
- Uncle Michaels Dart is runnign better than ever. Steve has put many many hours into getting the old girl up to par. And the car is looking and runnign great! the engine fires quick and clean and sounds beutiful. I am looking forward to seeing her blast down the 1/4 mile. I am sure uncle Michael would be happy!

- Lauren Lillian is now 1 years old! We are having a big bash Minekill state park to celebrate! We are getting old already arent we :-)

- The 55 is just about back together. Drive train is in thanks to the father in law. New clutch and a small block 350 under the hood! got most of the body reassembled. just need to put on the hood front bumper some minor chrome and fix the wiring for the directionals and driving lights and we should be there. I also got some custom license plates for fathers day for the car which is way cool! HOT55ROD woohoo!

Family Stuff Lauren has learned to run and she seems to think that running is how she is supposed to go everywhere. needless to say by the end of the day her folks are pretty pooped out. Tech Stuff: Linux Spam filter/Web content filter upgrade. Well its been a long time coming but I am finally being forced to upgrade my linux server. She has been old reliable but the old 1ghz precoessor is just getting to long int he tooth to handle all that I throw at it. so it will soon be getting some scsi drives from my old server as well as a newer processor and alot more memmory! details soon! Car Stuff: The Dart is recieved some much needed attention. steve removed the motor and rebuilt the whole front suspension. New brakes, shocks, bushings, balljoints, etc. cleaned frame rails and fresh paint on it all. Also I nice new serpentine pulley set was ordered for the 440 so hopefully the incerdible flying fan belt will be a thing of the past! Some nice new electrical wiring guages and even a new tach with a shift light have been installed! Its time to kick the tires and light the fires!
Open Source Power Baby! Well as most folks know I am a Linux/opensource fan. I think its because I am cheap at heart. Anyways I finally got ClamAV antivirus scanning working on my Linux Spam filter. I run ASSP On a fedora core box. It is not the most powerful machine in my dungeon however it manages to crunch the thousands of emails my domains get hammered with each day with ease. Who says you have to spend thousands of dollars to control spam and have antivirus coverage for a email server! Go Linux and GO open Source!
