- 8/9/2010 Fist Win with the 55
- The father in law and I decided to take a ride saturday august 7th down the VA in albany for the honor the vets car show. My main goal was to hand out flyers for the Parsons car show and cruise in but I figured I may as well bring the hot rod out for a ride as well. When we arrived there were over 250 cars at the show and easily 50 corvettes. Needless to say with that much iron at the show I was not expecting to win anything. But for grins we stuck around until the end of the show and unbelievably we won a trophy! We brought home one for vets choice! Needless to say I was totally shocked with and very happy! As a bonus Steve managed to figure out why the 55s engine has been running like a bucket of crap as well and it is running perfect now! Great weekend to the 55! Thanks again Steve!

- Summer is here. The grass is growing family activities are everywhere. Dad is dog tired from running like a crazy person. Mom is pooped as she is "Making a human" Lauren Lillian is just having a grand old time since she can go outside. Hard to belive she will be 2 years old july 16th

- Well it is official we are going to be having a son. Daddy is very excited time to train up a new generation of hot rodder!

Laurie Boyle McGeary | Create Your Badge Family Stuff Laurens birthday was a great success Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed the day with us! Tech Stuff: Been a long time coming. I had to upgrade the spam filter server. Unfortunatly the old server was getting a little long in the tooth. I built a spiffy new pc for myself so the hardware from my old PC was recycled into a new linux spam filter. 2 times the speed and 2 times the ram as well as SCSI 10,000 RPM hard drives makes for a much quicker server. The tape backup system has also been upgraded drastically thanks to a donor no more multiple tape backups woohoo! Car Stuff: the body work is almost complete. So the car should be back home within the next couple weeks. Needless to say I am very excited. Cant wait to take it out for a cruise on a nice summer night. I also am making a significant upgrade to the stereo system in the car. Seriously did you really think it would not have a amplifier in it eventually? Wife says grow up I say why bother?
